'CVS Bandit' Charged With Cleaning Out Stamford Stores Of High-End Shampoo

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Bronx, N.Y., man already in custody on charges that he stole $3,500 worth of high-end women's hair care products in Darien is now believed to have stolen more than $8,000 worth of similar products in multiple cities, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Luis Medina, 26, was arrested in January by Darien police in connection with the theft of high-end shampoo from a CVS store on Post Road.

Medina has since been connected to similar thefts in Stamford, Westport and New York City, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Medina confessed to the crimes in a written statement to police, according to the Stamford Advocate, which said 26-year-old's statement includes the line, "I am the CVS Bandit."

Medina has been charged with three counts of fourth-degree larceny and two counts of sixth-degree larceny in Stamford, according to the Advocate.
